Administrative Assistant

Dakota Stage LTD (DSL) community theater is seeking to hire a part-time Administrative Assistant. This role reports to the Executive Director and will support DSL through a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities with an emphasis on operating the public facing social media presence of the theater.

The successful candidate will be highly organized and efficient. They will work closely with various committees within the theater and assist as needed to meet established deadlines and support the mission of DSL.

This is a partly remote position. Expected time commitment is no more than 12 hours weekly.

Detailed Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility is managing DSL’s various social media channels, mainly consisting of Facebook and Instagram. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage social media pages across multiple platforms using the Facebook for Business and Ad Manager interface.

Management of these channels includes:

  • Writing creative and compelling posts
  • Working with the marketing team to promote and advertise upcoming events
  • Creating Facebook/Instagram events and stories
  • Monitoring, responding and forwarding messages as required
Additional responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Data entry, word processing, and file organization
  • Ordering supplies and marketing materials
  • Communicating with local media
  • Working box office and/or supporting active shows and events
