Participant Code of Conduct

  1. Participants will behave consistently with a school or other learning environment.
  2. Violence, bullying, or other acts of discrimination/abuse will not be tolerated. A zero-tolerance policy is in effect for any acts of violence or discrimination. Any participant who engages in these behaviors shall be summarily dismissed from the program.
  3. Attendance and participation at all rehearsals and performances is expected. It is the participant’s responsibility to report any planned or unexpected absence. Dress rehearsals are mandatory. Any planned absence during dress rehearsal week will affect casting decisions.
  4. Participants are expected to do assigned work outside of rehearsal and come to rehearsal prepared for the assigned scenes.
  5. Participants shall come to rehearsal prepared to work and have fun! Participants will need to bring a script and a pencil to every rehearsal.
  6. Participants shall be respectful of all DSL and HP property. Any damage to property resulting from recklessness or negligence shall be the responsibility of participants and their families.
  7. Participants shall be respectful of all adults in the programs; from directors and stage managers to administrators and parent volunteers.
  8. Participants shall be respectful to their cast members.
  9. Participants shall be respectful to themselves and their own creative process; doing the work necessary in and outside of rehearsal to create a quality production.
  10. Participants shall have fun while learning about the creative process in a live-theater community.
