Summer Programs
Academy Program (Age 7-13)
Students ages seven to thirteen in the fall of the current year are welcome to join us each summer to participate in a theatrical production! With two sessions for a play and two sessions for a musical, parents and children can find the dates and times that best suit their schedule for this five-week experience!
Rehearsals and performances will be in the Imagination Theater at the Frances Leach High Prairie Arts & Science Complex, 1810 Schafer Street, in Bismarck.
Please remember that all registration payments are due at the time of registration. Since academy shows do not have separate audition dates, the “auditions” for academy shows occur during the first week of rehearsals. To receive a role, payment of the participation fee must have already been received. The registration period for all the academy programs closes on May 31.

Conservatory Program (Age 13-18)
Students ages thirteen to eighteen in the fall of the current year, and students who have completed grade twelve in the spring of the current year, are welcome to join us each summer to participate in a full-scale theatrical production! With one play and one musical, students can select a show based upon their interests. Participants are asked to audition each spring to enable the directors to get a jump start on casting. All who audition will be cast!
Please remember that all registration payments are due at the time of registration.
Auditions for both conservatory shows, the play and the musical, are always scheduled during the months of February and March. After the second audition date in March, the directors will take some time to consider each auditionee’s experience and maturity level before deciding on the cast list. The cast list will be published about three weeks after the conclusion of the second audition date. Only those who have made full payment or who have made other arrangements such as a payment plan or scholarship will be assigned a role at this time. After the cast list is published, any unassigned roles will be assigned in the subsequent weeks during the second-round auditions. Anyone auditioning during this phase will need to schedule an audition directly with the session’s director. Please note that those who audition during the second-round audition phase are only eligible for unassigned roles: the previously assigned roles are spoken for. During the second-round audition phase, participation fees will be due at the time of the scheduled audition. The final cast list will be published once all of the roles are filled or when the registration period closes on May 31.
