American comedic legend Steve Martin’s adaptation of a riotous 1910 farce, The Underpants features Martin’s trademark cutting wit to send up elite arrogance and conformity. Louise and Theo Markes’s quiet, simple existence is turned on its head when Louise’s underpants fall down in public. Hilarity and insanity ensue as the Markeses welcome two men infatuated with Louise to rent the spare room in their home. The Underpants is one of the funniest plays ever written.
